My love affair with wood started as a child. I was apprenticed as a Carpenter/Joiner at 15. I spent my adult life as an Architectural Designer completing a Diploma in Architectural Technology later in life.

On retiring I took up wood carving which brought to reality my creative flair, my need to use my hands, and my spatial ability to be able to conceive in three dimensions.

My carvings are an evolutionary process of raw natural wood and decorative texturing and rendering.

I am consumed with creating intricate and interesting art that reflects reality and movement in nature.

Where possible, I would like to use Australian natural timbers, but the selection often depends on the size and composition of the piece, and availability of materials.

My carvings are available for sale and I also take commissions to create an individual piece for you.
